Our friends from college recommended and set a reservation for Uosada Seafood Restaurant in Tsuruga. It was located on the water and the second floor balcony gave us beautiful views of Tsuruga Bay. The restaurant was affiliated with MC Resort which offered accommodations and a variety water sport activities.

The parking area for the MC Resort was really small. Fortunately, there was a large public tourism parking lot across the street. It was pretty packed, but we were able to find a spot. We met up with our friends and headed inside.

The inside had a Japanese & tropical fusion vibe with accents from both. Slated partitions, black furnishings, warm woods, and bright lights gave gave the space a modern Japanese feel. While the white glass accents and abundant amount of plants added a nice tropical theme.
We took our seats which had an amazing view of Tsuruga Bay.
Uosada Seafood Restaurant Menu

Being on the coast, the menu consisted primarily of fresh seafood. They had a variety of sashimi seafood bowls and set meals to choose from. We went with the kaisen-don and the manager recommended set meal.

The food was delicious. The fish was super fresh and the slices were generous in size. The kaisen-don had a nice variety of to choose from. Their specialty and our favorite was the tai (red snapper). The tempura from the set meal was lightly battered and crispy on the inside. The sides of pickled vegetables added a variety of flavors and textures.

After eating, we went down to the beach across the street. We dipped our feet in the cool water, which was super refreshing. The sand was soft, there were just a lot of twigs and pine needles to avoid.
Final Thoughts
We really enjoyed our meal at Uosada Seafood Restaurant in Tsuruga. It was a little on the pricier side, but the quality was great, and the views were fantastic. The weather was perfect, it was sunny and partly cloudy. Tsuruga was a nice city that we’d like to visit again. The weather was temperate, even in the middle of summer and the protected bay kept the water calm.
