We stopped at Dalian in Yokohama after getting into Chinatown. We were looking for somewhere to get lunch and our friend recommended. The restaurant was located along one of the main roads leading through Yokohama’s Chinatown. The amount of foot traffic was pretty crazy. We had to weave our way through a crowd of people to get to the restaurant.

The exterior of the building was clean and modern. The sign for the shop looked great and it gave the restaurant a sense of prestige. There was a glass display case on the right that showcased their most popular dishes. On the left was a beautiful display board that highlighted their extensive lunch menu.
There was a short line when we arrived, but we only had to wait for about 10 or so minutes. We were then shown to the restaurants second floor. They had a good amount of two and four person tables arranged throughout the space. We really liked all the natural wood accents and details they had. The color of all the wood was very warm and inviting. The chairs and booths were comfortable and numerous throw pillows made us feel at home.
Dalian Lunch Menu

Since the lunch menu was posted outside, we were able to order shortly after being seated. We ended up going with a fried gyoza set and the mixed fried rice and noodle set.
Dalian Food Review

The food was excellent. The pan fried gyoza were crispy on the bottom and super juicy on the inside. I took a bite out of the first one and the juices from the inside squirted all over the place. I decided to one bite them after that. The addition of some shoyu and vinegar gave them a nice kick. The salad was nice and crispy and had a tasty goma (sesame) dressing. The egg flower soup was tasty and quite smooth. We would not hesitate getting it again.

The mixed fried rice set was really good as well. The fried rice was moist and not dry. It had good flavor and the portion sizes were just right. The noodles in their soy based broth had absorbed the soup nicely. The meat and vegetables were tender and flavorful. It was a filling and tasty meal.
Final Thoughts
We really enjoyed the food at Dalian in Yokohama. The prices for the lunch sets were quite reasonable and they had a good variety to choose from. The restaurant was conveniently located in Yokohama’s Chinatown. They had a decent number of tables, so even a short line would move fast. If your looking for a solid place to eat in Yokohama’s Chinatown, then we highly recommend Dalian.
