About The Tropical Dream Center
The Tropical Dream Center is a beautiful tropical arboretum located within Okinawa’s Ocean Expo Park. Enjoy over 2,000 orchids in bloom year round as well as an impressive collection of exotic tropical plants and subtropical flowers.

The main points of the Tropical Dream Center can be seen in about one hour via a self guided tour. The path is clearly marked and weaves its way through the Tropical Dream Center. Along the way, there are numerous spots where visitors can sit, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere.

While the center is well known for their orchids, they also have impressive collections of bougainvillea, hibiscus, African baobab, Victoria Lily, and carnivorous plants among many others.
Note: At the beginning of the course, make sure to pick up a stamp rally sheet. Along the course, there are a number of stamping stations. After collecting them all, visitors can redeem them at the ticket counter for a beautiful clear file.
7 Key Features of the Tropical Dream Center

Three Greenhouses
There are three main floral greenhouses at The Tropical Dream Center. Each of them holds a collection of unique tropical and subtropical flowers. The Phalaenopsis Greenhouse houses “Moth Orchids” which are known for their purple hues. The Vanda Greenhouse is known for its vivid blue flowers. While the Cattleya Greenhouse has “Cattleya” which are “The Queen of Flowers”.

Fruit Tree Greenhouse
The greenhouse has a number of rare plants and tropical fruits. Including durian which is the world’s largest fruit.

Observation Deck
Standing at a height of 118 feet. The observation deck provides beautiful panoramic views of the Tropical Dream Center and ocean as well as the Ocean Expo Park and Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium.

Lotus Pond
The centrally lotus pond contains not only plants. The pond is home to a large population of Arowana fish.

- From Naha Airports’ Domestic Terminal take an Okinawa Airport Shuttle bound for Churaumi Aquarium Via Onna Village getting off at Kinen Koen-Mae (Ocean Expo Park) (Regular Bus 3 hours, ¥2,000/person/way) (Express Bus 1 hour 55 min, ¥2,000/person/way) Note: Elementary school students are charged half the adult fare.
- From Naha Airport’s Domestic Terminal take a Yanbaru Express Bus bound for Resort Hotel Bel Paraiso getting off at Kinen Koen-Mae (Ocean Expo Park) (Regular Bus 2 hours 15 minutes, ¥2,000/person/way)
