About The Ryujin Suspension Bridge

The Ryujin Suspension Bridge is a 375m pedestrian bridge located in the Okukuji Prefectural Natural Park in Ibaraki Prefecture. The bridge was built over the Ryujin Dam and provides beautiful views of Ryujin Gorge. The bridge has three “peepholes” that allow guests to see the Ryujin River below.

The name Ryujin refers to the Dragon God from Japanese mythology. Its fitting that there is a golden dragon on the far side of the bridge. The bridge was painted blue to emulate a dragon flying through nature.
Due to the bridges height of 100m it is a popular location to bungee jump.
On the far side of the bridge, there are several hiking trails that link to the surrounding area.
